FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Find quick answers to common questions about scholarships. If you need further guidance, our RAQEL counsellors are available to assist.

Yes. Scholarships may be available for eligible master’s students across a range of subjects and study destinations. Availability and funding depend on the university, course, intake and your individual profile.

A fully funded scholarship is possible, but it is extremely competitive and difficult to obtain. These awards are normally reserved for exceptional applicants with excellent previous academic results, strong achievements, leadership potential, relevant experience and a very strong overall application. Meeting the minimum university entry requirements is not enough. Applicants usually compete against many high-achieving students from different countries. RAQEL can check your profile and guide you towards potentially suitable opportunities, but we cannot guarantee a fully funded scholarship.

In most cases, no. Most university scholarships provide only a partial tuition fee discount or a contribution towards tuition fees. Students should normally expect to pay their remaining tuition fees, accommodation, living expenses, visa costs and flight tickets themselves. A small number of highly competitive government, charitable trust or major external scholarship programmes may provide wider support. Never assume these costs are covered unless every benefit is clearly confirmed in the official scholarship award.

The accepted test and minimum score depend on the university, course, destination and scholarship. Accepted evidence may include IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, Duolingo English Test or another approved qualification. Students should aim for the highest score they reasonably can because a strong result may improve the overall application. However, a high English score alone does not guarantee a scholarship; previous academic results, achievements, references and the complete profile are usually more important. SAT is an academic admissions test, not an English-language test, and may be requested separately by some institutions.

You may be able to apply for more than one scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria. Some providers restrict students from accepting multiple awards, so the individual terms must be checked.

Yes. RAQEL can review your profile, help identify potentially suitable opportunities, check your documents and support your university or scholarship application. Where appropriate, applications may be processed through our authorised education partner network.

Complete our online application form and upload the requested documents. Our team will review your academic background, preferred course, destination and intake before advising you about potentially suitable opportunities.

No. Completing an eligibility check or submitting an application does not guarantee a scholarship. The final decision is made by the relevant university, government or awarding organisation.

Apply as early as possible. Scholarship deadlines can be earlier than course deadlines, and some awards have limited availability.

Requirements vary, but you may need a passport, academic certificates, transcripts, CV, personal statement, scholarship essay, references and financial evidence where applicable.
