Eligibility criteria for Broome students
Admission to nursing on the Broome campus implies eligibility for enrolment as a domestic student. Enrolment may be granted to any individual who meets the qualification criteria as described below.
Bachelor of Nursing
English language proficiency
Have access to personal mobile or fixed IT devices (laptop preferred) with audiovisual capability and reliable internet connection
Willingness to attend Broome campus for a compulsory ‘Skills’ block for one (1) week each semester (i.e. 5 times during the 3-year program – there is no on-campus skills block in the final semester)
Willingness to attend a 1-week online ‘Primer’ block, in the week preceding the first semester of study
Willingness to participate in Kimberley practice placements (i.e. hospitals, communities, health settings), if local (home) practice sites cannot be sourced
Meet Inherent Requirements for nursing students (Appendix E, Program Requirements)
Bachelor of Nursing (EN Articulation)
Must have completed an Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council Accredited Diploma of Nursing (in the previous 6 years).
Evidence of registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as an Enrolled Nurse (Div. 2).
English language proficiency
Have access to personal mobile or fixed IT devices (laptop preferred) with audiovisual capability and reliable internet connection
Willingness to attend Broome campus for a compulsory ‘Skills’ block for one (1) week each semester (ie 4 times during the 2-year program)
Willingness to attend a 1-week online ‘Primer’ block, in the week preceding the first semester of study
Willingness to participate in Kimberley practice placements (i.e. hospitals, communities, health settings), if local (home) practice sites cannot be sourced

There is no requirement to relocate to Broome; all programs may be studied from your place of permanent residence, with periodic travel to Broome for ‘intensive skills blocks’.
Rural and remote scholarships and bursaries are available to assist with the costs associated with studying as an online student.
