Degree Overview
Know you’re interested in communications but not a 100% sure what career? Edinburgh Napier University has more than 20 years’ experience in teaching professional communication. Whether you choose to start in year one or join via direct entry from college into the second or third year, the Mass Communications degree will give you the opportunity to explore a variety of career options and find the best fit for you. You are introduced to a range of disciplines involving professional communication, which include Advertising, Public Relations, Branding & Brand Communications, Employee & Organisational Communication. You learn about the basic functions and purpose of these disciplines and see how they often work together strategically. You also examine the variety of communication channels, platforms and methods used in mass communications through analysis as well as practical work. You further explore the skills behind producing digital communication content and how to establish a web presence and personal brand.
